S&P Co-hosts 'Future of Global Finance Forum'

BEIJING, July 30 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- In celebration of its 150th anniversary, Standard & Poor's today co-hosted the inaugural "Future of Global Finance Forum" with the Institute of Finance & Banking of the Chinese Academy of Social Science in Beijing, China. The one-day forum gathers over 250 senior-level attendees from government, industry and the financial services sectors from China, Asia and around the world. Discussions during the forum will center on the topic: The Future of Global Finance: Opportunities and Challenges in a Growing China. This theme acknowledges that, while China is expected to continue its strong economic growth, there are clearly structural issues to be addressed to China's economy and current financial system. Speakers will cover specific aspects including regulation and innovation, the role of the investment community as change agents, China's economic resiliency and outlook, and how the Chinese financial system can facilitate the economic restructuring towards domestic demand growth.
