BEIJING, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The 4th China CEO Forum 2010, has achieved a big success. The "nuclear" model initiated by Manager is hotly debated among the well-known experts and enterprises both in China and abroad.

Manager: The 4th China CEO Forum 2010, themed "Rebuilding Competitiveness and the Choice of Development Pattern", hosted by Manager -- the most influential business management medium in China, organized by BOSSWAY Club, revealed its grand opening at the China World Hotel in Beijing on September 19, 2010.

Li Wuwei, the deputy chairman of CPPCC, attended this forum and explained to all the present enterprises that, "The harmonized development of both the country and its people is overriding." Li Zibin, the president of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, pointed out that, "Only through innovation, small and medium enterprises could overcome the six development obstacles, including difficulty in financing, lack of talent, no competitive advantage, difficulty in structural adjustment, low level of management and weakness in risk control."

This year, China CEO Forum still remains on the continuation of the "master" line. Prof. Fredmund Malik, the world-famous master in management and known as "Drucker of Europe", was invited to the Forum to interpret "The development pattern for enterprises in the time of great changes". Together with the CEO of the China division of DuPont, Wang Jian, Mindray President, Xu Hang and President Cao Dewang from Fuyao Glass Group in the panel of the forum, he shared views on the future development pattern for enterprises in China.

Though China's GDP in Q2 2010 surpassed that of Japan, making China the second largest economic power in the world, all the unclear competitive advantages of Chinese enterprises were almost exhausted by the ups and downs of the global economic development over the past two years. At this moment, the forum chooses "Rebuilding Competitiveness and the Choice of Development Pattern" as the theme, which completely suits the present situation of Chinese enterprises, that is, despite the flourishing environment and strong cash flow, the survival is indeed hard and future profit-making is still uncertain.

As the development of Chinese enterprises illustrates, failure or success sometimes depends on one opportunity, one person, or even one innovation and all these factors can't be duplicated elsewhere. Therefore, enterprises fall into two categories: one is with strong main business lines, but weak sidelines. For example, Sina, because of its abundant content, not only becomes one of the biggest gateway websites in China, but also gets Sina Leju listed; however, its search engine business unit is very poor. Alibaba B2B platform only needed five years to beat Ebay, but suffered a great fall after taking over Yahoo. Some small and medium enterprises see no growth despite their great efforts.

What led these enterprises to failure of expansion? Mr. Yu Shaowen, proprietor of the magazine Manager, points out that, "The basic reason lies in that these enterprises failed to find out their own 'nuclear' model, not to be 'nuclear' success fission".

The so-called "nuclear" model is "core capabilities" that can duplicate the unique competitiveness to support the growth of an enterprise. Many enterprises don't grow for years due to lack of a "core" model; some achieve a big success in their main business lines, but suffer a great loss in new fields, because they fail to duplicate the "core model" or misuse it. Only enterprises with healthy organic self-expanding systems find their unique development "nuclear" and successfully realize its fission.

Mr. Yu further explained: "Firstly, improve their own quality and starting from the innovation system to rebuild competitiveness; secondly, clearly identify characteristics of 'nuclear' and make good use of it; thirdly, 'Nuclear' fission within the company makes an impact, but the external environment cannot be ignored. Only by doing so, the enterprise can create a self-reproducing 'nuclear' model and others cannot."

This is the fourth anniversary of the China CEO Forum since 2007. Top CEOs, experts, scholars, and media join the forum each year, take face-to-face dialogue with internationally renowned management gurus and jointly explore business revolution methods and inspire business intelligence and innovative spirit!

Over 600 guests attended the forum this year. They showed the intense reaction about the theme "Rebuilding Competitiveness and the Choice of Development Pattern" and were actively involved in the interaction. Due to the unique positioning and style, China CEO Forum has formed a "China CEO top learning event" feature.
