Corning Announces New Leader of China Operations

SHANGHAI, Aug. 1, /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) today announced that Eric S. Musser assumed the role of chief executive officer -- Greater China, replacing Clark S. Kinlin, who was appointed chief operating officer, Corning Cable Systems.

Eric S. Musser has been with Corning since 1986 and has held a variety of roles in manufacturing, strategic planning, and quality. For the past two years, he has served as vice president and general manager of Corning Optical Fiber. In that role, he helped lead the successful migration of the Shanghai Fiber Optics Co. into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Corning Incorporated, a key milestone in the company's strategy to produce the highest-quality optical fiber in China.
