China Interdye 2011 Successfully Concluded

SHANGHAI, May 18, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The three-day 11th China International Dye Industry, Pigments and Textile Chemicals Exhibition ("China Interdye 2011") drew to a successful close at INTEX Shanghai and ShanghaiMart on April 28. Occupying an exhibition space of 25,000 square meters, the event attracted 500 Chinese and foreign exhibitors from 14 countries and regions, as well as 13,996 professional visitors from 55 countries and regions (32,106 arrivals).

In the morning of April 26, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation president Li Yongwu, together with China National Textile and Apparel Council vice president Xu Kunyuan, cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony, which was also attended by Wang Zhuo, president of the China Dyestuff Industry Association, Li Jinbao, president of the China Dyeing and Printing Association, Yu Chen, vice president of the Shanghai Sub-Council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shi Xianping, vice president of the China Dyestuff Industry Association, Xing Huilu, vice president of the China Dyeing and Printing Association, and Gu Chunting, president of Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd., as well as key leaders and representatives from the Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Export Promotion Council of India, the Dyestuffs Manufacturers' Association of India, Korea Dyestuff and Pigment Industry Cooperative, Taiwan Dyestuffs and Pigments Industrial Association, Hong Kong Dyestuffs Merchants Association, China Knitting Industry Association, China Bast and Leaf Fibres Textile Association, China Wool Textile Association, the Ink Branch of China Daily-Used Chemical Industry Association, the Masterbatches, Organic Pigments and Textile Printing Auxiliaries Speciality Committees of the China Dyestuff Industry Association and other exhibitors. In addition, trade purchasing groups from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam and South Korea were present at the exhibition, where they had in-depth exchanges and trade negotiations with representatives from China's industry associations and major exhibitors.

In recent years, China Interdye has always paid close attention to industrial upgrading, energy efficiency, pollutant emissions reduction, clean production and other industry hot spots. The participation of a large number of leading companies both from home and abroad, including DyStar, BASF, Tanatex, Huntsman, Yorkshire, Novozymes, Clariant, Lamberti, Bozzetto, M. Dohem, Longsheng, Runtu, Jihua, Yabang, Huali, Transfar, Dymatic, Anoky, Merida and Jeco, made China Interdye 2011 the largest of its kind around the world.

The theme of the China Interdye 2011, one of the industry's major events, was "energy saving, emissions reduction and green production". A great number of new products, technologies and concepts were launched by many exhibitors at the event, making China Interdye a real industry vane and a big stage for competition. The industry leader DyStar exhibited five new high-efficiency anti-sunburn dyestuffs, which have been well received by the market and have filled in the blanks of the world. Most exhibitors showed energy saving and environmentally friendly products as their flagship products. The main exhibition of Taixing Jinji Dyestuff Co., Ltd was a new series of low-alkali dyestuffs. According to the exhibitor's technical personnel, the series, as the company's latest R&D achievements, was displayed for the first time and had a great energy efficient and environmentally friendly capability. Zhejiang Transfar's lead products were printing and dyeing auxiliary low-temperature scouring and bleaching agents with a significant energy saving and environmentally friendly effect.

In addition to well-known industry players, an increasing number of up-and-coming firms started to make a name for themselves at the exhibition. A great number of dyeing auxiliary makers including VIGORS Textile Chemical, Boao, Huake, Sunhy Group and Kailai brought in lots of new ideas and concepts. High-profile marketing campaigns, high quality products and prominent after-sales services added further vigor and vitality to the exhibition.

Besides efforts in development of energy saving and environmentally-friendly products, firms have attached great importance to improvement of product ecological safety. According to China Dyestuff Industry Association Secretary-General Tian Liming, more and more large textile and apparel firms have started to create their own internal chemical restricted substance lists since last year, which stipulate prohibitive regulations concerning dyestuff sourcing and highlight priority to be given to dyestuffs tested and certified by authorities. Furthermore, several professional certification service providers' participation in the event also greatly facilitated exhibitors and visitors.

The exhibition was accompanied by a wide range of concurrent events and professional meetings held by authoritative users associations in the industry, including the China Dyeing and Printing Association, the China Knitting Industry Association, the China Bast and Leaf Fibres Textile Association, the China Wool Textile Association, the Ink Branch of the China Daily-Used Chemical Industry Association as well as the Masterbatches, Textile Printing Auxiliaries and Organic Pigments Speciality Committees of the China Dyestuff Industry Association. The 12th China International Dye Industry, Pigments and Textile Chemicals Exhibition ("China Interdye 2012") from 11 to 13 April 2012 will be relocated to the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) with convenient traffic, pleasant environment, good exhibition conditions and established supporting facilities. China Interdye, with the strong support from members of the dye community, will surely extend the success of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai and usher in a new round of development.
