SHENZHEN, China, Dec. 14 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Intermost Corporation
(OTC Bulletin Board: IMOT), a leading electronic online equity exchange
service provider in China, brought the news from the China Securities
Regulatory Commission (CSRC) that “the construction of a Multi-Layer Capital
Market is an important task at present”, which was said by Shang Fulin,
Chairman of the CSRC at the Fifth Forum on the Small and Medium Enterprises
Financing. The Chairman’s statement indicated the determination of the
Chinese government to develop the Multi-Layer Capital Market, including the
Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) and the Equity Exchange Market (EEM).
The China Multi-Layer Capital Market consists of three layers: first, the
main board market, i.e. the Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges, where
stocks and shares of listed companies are issued and exchanged; second, the
Small and Medium Enterprise board (SME board), which was established in the
Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2004, and will develop into the second board
market; third, the Over-the-Counter exchange market which includes an Agency
Share Transfer System, and the Equity Exchange Market which includes over two
hundred equity exchange institutions in China. Having undergone years of
lopsided development in the China capital market, the supervision department
has realized the importance of the Growth Enterprise Market, the
Over-the-Counter exchange market and the Equity Exchange Market. Only the
full development of these markets can meet the financing needs of small and
medium enterprises and the huge investment needs of capital.
Mr. Xiangxiong Deng, acting CEO of the Intermost Corporation said, “Any
mature capital market consists of more than a main board market. China’s
rapid economic development is calling for the Multi-Layer Capital Market, of
which the Equity Exchange Market is the fundamental basis. The Intermost
Corporation has captured the leading position in the fast-moving Equity
Exchange Market. Mr. Shang’s presentation gave indication that the Chinese
government will exert best efforts to develop the Equity Exchange Market. We
are well prepared and will seize every opportunity to strengthen our leading
market position.”
