YANGON, Myanmar, July 31, 2013/PRNewswire/ --Nissan today announced the expansion of their business cooperation with Tan Chong Motor Group (TCM) by appointing ETCM (MM) Pte Ltd. as the exclusive Nissan distributor in Myanmar.

ETCM (MM) Pte. Ltd. was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of TCM. In full compliance with the regulatory guidelines set by the Myanmar government, ETCM (MM) Pte. Ltd. has appointed United Diamond Motor Company Limited as the first Nissan dealer to carry out retailing activities of Nissan products in Myanmar.

TCM is Nissan's long time partner, having sold more than 700,000 units of Nissan products across Asia since the partnership began in 1957. With their expertise in sales and after sales services, Nissan has continued extending the partnership to key growth markets, such as Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

"The appointment of ETCM Myanmar stems from our fruitful relationship with Tan Chong Motor Group we have had for more than 50 years. I have no doubt that this partnership with Tan Chong Motor will also lead to many great successes here in Myanmar based on the achievements we have shared in the past," said Executive Vice President Hiroto Saikawa, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.

The first full-service Nissan showroom opened today in Yangon. This facility provides a showroom for sales, an after sales services area and a spare parts center. Nissan Navara and NV350 Urvan, both imported from Malaysia, will be on sale starting today.

"We are ready to welcome the people of Myanmar to experience the world of Nissan in this new, fully-serviced showroom with exciting products and high quality service. I am confident that together with Tan Chong Motor, Nissan can provide the value which the people of Myanmar are looking for," said Saikawa.
