HONG KONG, April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Nissan announced today total Asia and Oceania sales for March of 22,980 units, a 48.0 percent decline from a year earlier.

March highlights:

  • Thailand's political situation continues to impact sales; however, due to an effective sales campaign, Juke continued to drive sales with 1,630 units delivered. Teana sales jumped 40.5 percent to 460 units in March over the prior year.
  • X-Trail had the second-best sales record in Australia in fiscal year 2013, totalling 1,230 units, up 19.3 percent.
  • Nissan Philippines, Inc. introduced two global sedans -- Altima and Sylphy -- to mark the start of operations as the new national sales company for the Philippines.
