Many of the dreaded Chinese middle-aged women also flock in to snap up electronic appliances and digital products. But a group of like-minded friends from the media led by China's game company Netease chose a very different travel route. They chose to visit some less known places in Tokyo, Kyoto, Tottori, Igaand other cities.

These people were all animation enthusiasts and also part of the elite in the game and media industries. They were from China's biggest game company Netease, China's largest internet cooperation Tencent, China's largest circulation animation magazine MK Weekly and China's biggest gaming information websites 17173 and 178.

This trip, known as the Fly for Fun Japanese Animation Tour, was headed by Ms. Cheng,a marketing manager for the Netease's product "Fly for Fun". She explained briefly the purpose and arrangements of the trip.

Cheng said, "Fly for Fun has been part of Netease's portfolio for ten years. The graphics of the game were designed with the playing experience of the animation lovers in mind. The major purpose of the trip was to bring not only the animation works but original Japanese animation culture in the form of photos and words to Chinese animation lovers and game players. Secondly, we wanted to bring back the scenes of Fuji Mountain, Seimei Shrine, Akihabara, Hayao Miyazaki Art Museum in Mitaka and incorporate them into the game, making the animation experience even stronger. Lastly,we purchased a great deal of difficult to find Manga related products such as Garage Kit foranimation lovers as presents, so we also covered in our trip many popular animation museums such as Conan Museum, Chibimaruko museum and Ninjia Museum of Igaryu."
