Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) has been awarded with the Corporate Excellence Award in the Education Sector for Strengthening Malaysia’s Position as a Global Education Hub at The International Business Review ASEAN Awards (IBRAA) 2025, held 19 July 2025 at Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu.
Chief Executive Officer, Novie Tajuddin, received the award from Haji Abdul Halim Haji Saim, Vice President 1 of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam (NCCIBD).
Novie Tajuddin began his acceptance speech by dedicating the award as an acknowledgement and validation of the commitment and dedication within each member of the EMGS team.
“What makes EMGS unique is our multidimensional role. We have active engagements with the Ministry of Higher Education, Immigration Department, embassies, higher education institutions, and international students. Our work covers areas of policy, regulation, engagement, and care, all converging to create a smooth and transparent experience for our students.”
In executing their mandate of promoting Malaysia as a preferred education destination to international students, EMGS showed just how much the country can offer to those who choose to pursue their studies here in quality education, cultural diversity, diversity, affordability and warm hospitality. “I believe EMGS must strive to be incomparable not by competing with others, but by upholding ourselves to the highest standards of integrity, service, and innovation.”
Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) is a company under the purview of Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education, established in 2012. While their mission is to promote Malaysia as a global education hub, EMGS is also the body responsible for overseeing the movement of international students within Malaysia, facilitating their documentation and visa processing as required.
