The event, scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., aims to promote leadership, communication, and confidence-building among participants through interactive programmes open to the public.
From 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., visitors can explore around 30 exhibition booths featuring interactive sessions and leadership-themed games designed to highlight Toastmasters’ core values of Integrity, Respect, Service, and Excellence. These activities are meant to engage both new and seasoned members of the public in the spirit of self-improvement and teamwork.
The second half of the event, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., will feature the Division E Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests, the main highlight of the day.
Top speakers from Division E clubs will compete for the chance to represent the Division at the District 102 Contest, where winners will advance to the International Speech and Evaluation Contests in March 2026. Successful participants will have the opportunity to compete at the World Championship of Public Speaking, representing Malaysia on the global stage.
Since its founding in 1924, Toastmasters International has empowered nearly eight million people worldwide, helping them develop vital communication and leadership skills.
Malaysia has played an increasingly prominent role in this global movement, with local speakers earning international recognition including a 2nd Runner-Up title in 2022 and 1st Runner-Up in 2025 at the World Championship of Public Speaking, held on 23 August 2025.
Dr. Saraswathy Thurairaj, DTM, Division E Director and Organising Chairperson, expressed excitement about the upcoming event.
“We’re proud to bring together a community of learners and leaders through fun, laughter, and inspiration. This event truly embodies what Toastmasters is about personal growth through communication and leadership,” she said.
