JAKARTA, Indonesia, Nov. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- As one of the overseas economic and trade exchanges and cooperation projects supported by the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, the "Fujian Brands on the Maritime Silk Road" series of activities (Indonesia Station), which relied on the 2019 Indonesia Jakarta International Food & Beverage and Food Ingredients Exhibition, was held from November 12-16.

The Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce set up the Fujian Brand Pavilion, which showed the overall image of Fujian Province, demonstrated Fujian's excellent business environment and reform and opening up results, and exhibited Fujian brand products. At the same time, the company's product exhibition area was set up, and 32 brand enterprises with representative works in food and aquatic products were organized. During the event, it received nearly 2,000 merchants with an intentional sales of 4.8 million US dollars.

On November 12th, the trade and economic matchmaking meeting was held in Yingke Global's office. The meeting included the director of Yingke Global, the resident legal counsel of Indonesia and Huaxia Industrial Park, and 28 selected representatives of Fujian brand enterprises to meet and negotiate. It promoted investment and business environment in Fujian Province, the latest products of Fujian enterprises, provided one-on-one negotiation opportunities for the enterprises to promote on-site entrepreneurs cooperation in various fields, to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefit.

Indonesia is the largest economy in ASEAN and the largest trading partner and source of imports for Fujian in ASEAN countries. In recent years, bilateral investment and trade cooperation between Fujian and Indonesia has shown a rapid growth. Last year, the total import and export trade between Fujian and Indonesia was 50.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.3%, and imports and exports increased by 27.7% and 26.5% respectively.

As an important eastern starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road and the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Fujian has achieved fruitful results in trade and cooperation with countries and regions along the "Haisi" in recent years. The Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, relied on the exhibitions, held the "Fujian Brands on the Maritime Silk Road" series of activities for five years, which achieved positive results and was praised by the Ministry of Commerce.
