CHANGZHOU, China, Dec. 20,  2016 /PRNewswire/ -- ARLANXEO, one of the world's leading synthetic rubber providers, opened its Rubber Technology Centre in Changzhou National Hi-Tech District (CND) on December 15. Changzhou deputy mayor, Li Xiaoping, CND administration committee director Chen Zhengchun and ARLANXEO CEO Jan Paul attended the opening ceremony and toured the newly established facility.

ARLANXEO is a synthetic rubber joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Germany-based LANXESS, one of the world's leading specialty chemicals companies. ARLANXEO focuses on the manufacture of products widely used in the automotive and tyre, the construction as well as the oil and gas industries. In addition to the management of LANXESS' existing rubber production facilities, ARLANXEO has also made substantial investments into R&D with the goal of developing, producing and selling high-performance rubber. When working with companies who are thinking of placing their manufacturing operations in CND, the managers of the district has always insisted on arrangements which provide a mutual benefit for all parties. By doing so, the companies who choose the district are provided with a favorable investment environment, backed by high-quality and efficient support services.

LANXESS has established three facilities supporting their leather products businesses, an ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) production plant, a logistics centre and a warehouse, in Changzhou National Hi-tech District. The output value of the goods produced in Changzhou by LANXESS amounted to 644 million yuan (approx. US$92.6 million) for the first ten months of the year, generating 766 million yuan (approx. US$110 million) in sales. The EPDM plant in Changzhou, a butyl rubber plant and a Nd-BR plant, both in Singapore, are now ARLANXEO's three most advanced manufacturing facilities.
