In this new role, Ms. Baxter, who will be based in Singapore, will be responsible for the growth and development of the Fine Arts portfolio in the Asia Pacific region. The Fine Arts portfolio is under the umbrella of Chubb's flagship high net worth insurance - Masterpiece - a bespoke insurance solution for high value homes and personal property.
Ms. Baxter returned to Chubb in January, where she was previously an underwriter in the Personal Lines Department before she left in 2012. During her previous tenure, she was already an active participant in the arts scene and frequently gave talks and presentations on art and insurance. Since then, she has created a niche for herself as a specialist in fine arts insurance. She is a familiar face at art events such as Art Stage and Art Basel, where she plans and organizes exclusive events for valued partners and artists.
Before joining the insurance industry, Ms. Baxter was a freelance art consultant and correspondent for art publications. She also lectured at the Sotheby's Institute of Arts in Singapore, after an internship with Sotheby's & Christie's. Ms. Baxter holds a Master's Degree in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art and a Post Graduate Certificate in Art History from LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts.
On her appointment, Mr. Greg Hicks, Senior Vice President of High Net Worth in Asia Pacific, commented, "We are delighted to have Regina return to Chubb as we execute our strategic growth plans for the High Net Worth business in the region. I am confident that with Regina's unique ability to combine underwriting with finesse in fine arts, her strategic counsel in risk management will be highly valued by our growing client base."
