Global Electric Power Tech 2017 Held Successfully

SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Korea Electric Engineers Association and KOTRA held the Global Electric Power Tech 2017 ("expo"), which integrated Smart Grid, power/nuclear power plants and the heavy electric machine industry, for 3 days from May 10th to 12th at COEX Hall C in Seoul.

388 businesses from 14 countries (592 booths) participated in the expo, and 32,345 visitors (including 1,792 foreigners) attended.

This exhibition, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, was organized by 23 organizations including KEPCO and six power generation companies as partners in order to build the export base of the electric power industry and to advance overseas.

To support SMEs development in both domestic and foreign markets, the Korea Electric Power Corporation and 6 Power Generation companies actively supported SMEs participation in exhibitions for Smart Grid, power transmission / transformation / distribution equipment.

This expo, which has been held 15 times and has continuously grown by word of mouth from participating companies with excellent results. It is regarded as an expo achieving practical results as around 30,000 members of the association, the best buyers in Korea, in electric public enterprises, electrical designs, construction supervision and safety supervision fields and End-Users visited the expo.

In this year's exhibition, we will provide a variety of attractions through theme parks and various other events held.

This exhibition is a joint exhibition between government, associations, KOTRA, the electric power industry and the electric power plant and equipment export promotion model. It is focused on domestic and overseas marketing.

At the Foreign Buyers Inviting Export Conference (2017 Power-Tech Korea) held by KOTRA, 55 buyer companies from 23 countries including power project ordering organizations, EPC companies and local agents and domestic companies which submitted power equipment conducted product purchasing consultations.

At the export conference, buyers from Indonesia that are propelling the reformation of the power market along with the Middle East and CIS areas where the developing infrastructure continues to grow were in high demand.

With the successful hosting of the 2017 International Electricity Power Exhibition, the association will take a leading role in creating new growth engines and pioneering global markets, such as by preoccupying advantageous positions in the new energy industry of the fourth industrial revolution era through convergence and diffusion of industries.
