HONG KONG, March 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Huang's Entertainment Holdings Limited, a family asset management company, today announced its investment in Galaxy Weying Entertainment Limited. Upon completion, Kent Huang who runs Huang's Entertainment will serve on the board of directors as well.
Galaxy Weying is a Hong Kong based joint venture company of China's leading online ticketing and distribution platform Beijing Weying Technology Co., Ltd. Chaired by Johnny Hsu with former US Ambassador Gary Locke as advisor, Galaxy Weying is specialized in foreign film investment and their follow up China box office winning strategy.
Earlier this year, Galaxy Weying helped to secure a comprehensive partnership between Beijing Weying and Paramount Pictures on the mainland marketing of "xXx: Return of Xander Cage". The box office topped 1.1 billion RMB and surpassed "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" to be the 9th highest grossing foreign film in China. Recently, Beijing Weying also announced Galaxy Weying's global stake in Paramount and DreamWorks' live action film "Ghost in the Shell" which is to be released on March 31 in North America, and April 7 in China. The deal gives Weying a 10 percent share of global ticket revenue, along with a logo in the film's end credits.
