"Our collaboration with Arsema reinforces our commitment to expanding our reach in Indonesia at places that are easily accessible to our customers," said Yogesh Sangle, MoneyGram's Asia Pacific senior regional director. "It is an important alliance that allows customers to receive money at the post office locations in a secure and convenient way."
According to the World Bank, an estimated $9.6 billion in remittances flowed into Indonesia in April, 2016. Accordingly MoneyGram has partnered with Arsema to meet this growing demand for reliable money transfer service by making MoneyGram's service available at Indonesia post office locations across the country.
"MoneyGram is the right choice for Arsema," said Bagus Widayatmo, PT Artha Semesta Utama's Director. "The agreement will allow us to offer a money transfer service that is fast and convenient while also demonstrating our commitment to giving our customers the important services they need to receive funds from their loved ones."
To send or receive money in Indonesia, customers can walk into any MoneyGram agent location, complete a simple form and show a photo identification to transfer and receive funds. The funds will be ready to collect in as little as 10 minutes subject to agent's operating hours and compliance with regulatory requirements.
