These factors point to why the Suzhou Jinji Lake International Convention Center, a new modern, high standard and multi-functional convention center located next to the beautiful Jinji Lake in Suzhou, was developed in time to meet the growing demand. As the third facility to be built as part of the larger Suzhou International Expo Center, the 40,000-square meter center started construction in 2013 and officially opened its doors on March 18th.

The opening event was held in grand style, with more than 500 industry insiders in attendance. More than 30 signature guests who delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. The event took place concurrently with the 2016 China (Suzhou) Convention and Exhibition Industry Fair. The signing ceremony, attended by event organizers who chose the Center as the venue for their event, was held during the opening forum on the morning of March 18th. Representatives from seven organizing committees, including the China Chain Store & Franchise Association, the China Early Childhood Education Conference and the China International Conference for Science and Technology, signed deals with the Center at the ceremony. The Center has received bookings from the organizers for several name events and already has a meaningful roster of confirmed bookings prior to the formal opening of the venue.

Within the 50,000 meter venue, the Center will offer 60 types of meeting and convention spaces, with the capability of dividing and combining the spaces as needed to meet customer requirements. The 8,000-square-meter luxury column-free banquet hall, the largest of its kind in Asia, has been optimized for large conferences, commercial events and banquets. The functional design, one of the building's highlights, demonstrates the venue's ability in integrating the conference, exhibition and accommodation functionalities under one roof. The Center provides attendees with easy access to both the exhibition zone and the hotel, addressing the flexibility that is required by many organizers of high-profile events who attach equal importance to the conference side and the exhibition side of the event.

The Center features convenient transportation including direct access to rail lines and comprehensive support facilities that can only be found in a central business district. A specially designed hotel for conference attendees, the four-star Novotel Suzhou SIP featuring 307 rooms, will soon be opened to the public. Thanks to its proximity to several high-end hotels, the Center is an ideal destination for attendees of large-scale meetings and conferences.

Upon opening, Suzhou Jinji Lake International Convention Center, with its expansive meeting and exhibition spaces, comprehensive facilities and professional services including custom conference schedule planning, is the best choice for organizers seeking a premier venue for their large-scale event, business conference, annual corporate gathering, or any kind of celebratory or high-end event demanding a sophisticated level of customization.
