HONG KONG, May 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Artisanal Movement is a progressive new approach to artistically inspired living orchestrated by cultural entrepreneur Mr. Adrian Cheng, Executive Vice-chairman and Joint General Manager of New World Development Company Limited. Adhering "WE CREATE, WE ARE ARTISANS", the motto sprouted from the aspiration to ignite the Artisans within every heart. Mr. Cheng travels around the world, collecting ingenious collaterals with prominence in humanity and culture. The Artisanal Bohemian Collection created by Mr. Cheng is dedicated to forge the essence of local heritage. By accentuating the vibrant charisma nourished by history, a distinctive neighbourhood like London Notting Hill is cultivated for residents.

Being the first project among the Artisanal Bohemian Collection residential series, EIGHT SOUTH LANE has caught much attention in the residential market and set the living standards for urban bohemians. It is located at 8/12 South Lane, and all units have been sold out. Thereafter, Mr. Cheng is dedicated to launch the second residential project of the Artisanal Bohemian Collection - BOHEMIAN HOUSE.

Crafting an artisanal lifestyle of Urban Bohemians

Mr. Cheng deeply understands the artisanal lifestyle that urban elites with bohemian spirits pursue. These innovation-seeking Urban Bohemians possess high aspirations and free spirits to break the tradition. They are sophisticated and cultivated beings who are passionate about history, art and culture. Therefore, every project in the Artisanal Bohemian Collection is tailor-made for these Urban Bohemians, not only allowing them to realize their ideal living, but also nurturing a community of urban elites with bohemian spirits so that they can enjoy an elegant and superior artisanal lifestyle with the like-minded.

A charming community with impressively rich history and unique culture

The project is close to Sai Ying Pun MTR station, it takes approximately 5 minutes to travel from Sai Ying Pun MTR station to Central MTR station1.Despite its proximity to Central CBD, the district has preserved its historical buildings that have been standing over half a century, as well as different kinds of humanized family businesses. Walking along the shoreline in this district, one could enjoy the scenic Victoria Harbour view, at the same time, immersing them into the local culture, as though shuttling between past and present.

The Central and Western District is home to lots of traditional dried seafood stores that play a vital role in the distinctive food culture of Hong Kong. This district also embodies a wide range of shops offering a wide variety of international fresh ingredients. From this cultural fusion within the district, the East-meets-West heritage has given Hong Kong a style that is just its own.

In recent years, there is an increasing influx of western cafes, art galleries and independent boutiques into the district. Together with the expansion of MTR's West Island Line railway network, the Western District has much been revitalized and rebranded.

BOHEMIAN HOUSE is exactly located in this unique community – the bohemian neighbourhood. Hidden treasures and inspirational creativity simmering in the air await Urban Bohemians to discover.

Embracing history by incorporating elements of trams into architectural design

Being a richly historiated transport, tram is a living history in Hong Kong that shapes the cityscape of the Western District. Inspired by this iconic transport, Thomas Cheung Kong Yeung, the architect of BOHEMIAN HOUSE, has incorporated tramlines in the facade design. Thomas created a white feature called "i-frame" to embrace the curtain wall and balconies of the residential units as though they were making a tram window. With the lights and shadows cast on the building, residents will feel like they are in a tram.

CLUB BOHEMIAN cultivates the culinary culture of sharing, inherits craftsmanship, knowledge and traditions, and nurtures a community of Urban Bohemians

To define and cultivate the artisanal lifestyle of the culturally sophisticated new generations, Mr. Cheng invited SIMPLICITY Co., Ltd, a world renowned multi-disciplinary studio to design the unique CLUB BOHEMIAN+.

SIMPLICITY transforms living space with grace dwelling in simplicity rather than conventional luxury, rejecting any tasteless ornamentation or ostentatious intention; such aesthetics are derived from Japan's longstanding culture of tradition. Through encompassing the handwork of artisans and ingenious use of material and detail, Simplicity hopes to convey the feeling of familiarity and warmth.

Food and cooking play the important roles in CLUB BOHEMIAN+, the key facilities Artisan Kitchen+ and Alfresco Cooking+ allow residents to create artisanal dishes with their own hands and with fresh food ingredients sourced in the neighbourhood, cultivating the culinary culture of sharing and stimulates bountiful exchanges in knowledge, traditions and craftsmanship. BOHEMIAN HOUSE provides the perfect setting for Urban Bohemians to savour precious moments with families, friends and the like-minded, creating a community of Urban Bohemians.

Bespoke, innovative and thoughtful design

BOHEMIAN HOUSE offers a bespoke service, owners of selected units can choose specific finishing colour for specific walls or fittings, creating a characteristic interior space.

"MIRROR PLUS™", a multi-purpose mirror cabinet with built-in electricity and USB sockets, is installed in every bathroom. Residents could wash and brush up while using mobile devices to save time on daily chores.

Every studio unit offers a patented sliding screen design "PANELRAMA®" so that residents can flexibly organise the interior according to their needs, such as partitioning a study area, a cooking area, a walk-in closet area etc.
