Announces The Nature Conservancy Hong Kong as Charity Partner

HONG KONG, April 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Yew Chung International School (YCIS) will host its first ever Earth Day event on Saturday, 22 April, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Earth Day is an annual event responsible for mobilising more than a billion people and lifting environmental issues onto the world stage. This year's theme is environmental and climate literacy. YCIS has joined forces with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and has announced that they will be the exclusive Charity Partner for this inspiring Earth Day 2017 event.

Activities on the day include performances from prestigious Wells Cathedral School Jazz Band, Africa Drumming and Dance Connection, and YCIS -- Secondary's Chinese Dance Team. There will also be a great selection of games and activities for all ages to enjoy, as well as a Live Art Battle, and an Eco Market featuring delicious organic produce, skincare and environmentally friendly fashion and accessories. We are delighted to announce that 20% of sales on the day will be donated to The Nature Conservancy.

Guests will also enjoy private tours of YCIS -- Secondary's newly renovated Year 7 floor. The pioneering design, created by award-winning architects Fielding Nair International, includes the very best of 'green' features to complement the new Learning Communities concept, which will be introduced throughout the entire campus over the next few years.

Founder of eco-friendly online fashion brand, Basics for Basics, Kayla explained, "I wanted to support The Nature Conservancy and YCIS because I think it is important for our generation to know the effects we have on our planet. And it is our job to ensure that we can continue to help keep our environment in good shape for our future generations!"
