SINGAPORE, April 14, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Following an intensive, three-month entrepreneurship programme, *SCAPE and Pinnacle (the learning and development business of Singapore-based holding group Golden Equator) today announced the top three startups of *SCAPE Creative Fellowship Programme's Demo Day. The winners are Lilee Perfume, Guub, and the moonbeam co. and the awards were presented by guest of honour, David Chua, Chairman of *SCAPE and Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Council.
Each of the three winners has also been awarded with over $30,000 worth of critical business support, including a three-month hotdesking pass at community-driven co-working space, SPECTRUM; an ACE membership which provides a range of business benefits spanning health and wellness, to cloud credits and Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits and business support. The winners will also have their startup business concepts meaningfully enabled, with three months of invaluable mentoring by key industry experts.
Speaking about the programme and its participants, Ivy Lim, Executive Director at *SCAPE said, "This year, we have seen a high calibre of committed and visionary youth entrepreneurs who are focused on solving key challenges that stand before this generation. They have demonstrated creative approaches and have leveraged leading-edge technology and concepts, including blockchain and decentralization, to help tackle these challenges."
"The Creative Fellowship programme is founded on our mandate to support and empower youths, help them elevate their ideas into creative businesses and prepare them for success in an ever-changing business environment," continued Lim. "In Season 5, working with our partners at Pinnacle by Golden Equator, we have infused the programme with Web3 insights and practical skills, delivered by global thought-leaders in their respective industries."

As part of helping entrepreneurs develop their future thinking mindset and with the rise of the new iteration of the internet, the fifth season of *SCAPE Creative Fellowship has been one of the first few entrepreneurship programmes that introduced elements of Web3; with industry luminaries including George Wong (Head of Singapore and Malaysia, The Sandbox), and KC Wong (Blockchain Consultant, BC Labs), invited to speak with the startups. This allowed the young entrepreneurs to be introduced to the latest technology and able to apply the new knowledge and skills to their businesses where required. In addition, the three-month programme covered core business topics including investment strategies, marketing and sales funnel creation.
Pinnacle by Golden Equator, who has been working with government entities in the Southeast Asia region to deliver entrepreneurship bootcamps, designed and facilitated the programme and continues to leverage their network to support the startups in their forthcoming, three-month residency at SPECTRUM, Golden Equator's shared workspace for high growth companies in tech and innovation.
Adam Flinter, Managing Partner of International Markets, at Golden Equator Group, shared "We're honoured to work with *SCAPE, especially as we share a common philosophy in being advocates and enablers for the next generation. Following the event, we remain committed to providing platforms and programmes which maximise opportunities and create positive social and commercial impact for these young founders.
"We are very much looking forward to hosting the winning startups, at SPECTRUM, where they can explore their businesses in a supportive community environment, surrounded, mentored and inspired by fellow innovators," he concluded.
Pinnacle has facilitated numerous entrepreneurship programmes working with government entities and private companies, across Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, Brunei, Thailand and Korea, which have supported more than 200 startups and microbusinesses, helping them grow and expand in the region, and have helped them raise more than US$5 million in investment and contributed to more than 20 tech products built.
