CHANGSHA, China, Jan. 8, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Four startups and ecosystem players originating from Southeast Asia won awards at the Global Startup Awards held at Yuelu District in Changsha, China, last month. The event was held from 11 - 14 December 2019 to celebrate the best startup across the world. New Entrepreneurs Foundation attended the event as part of the delegates from the region.
The Awards Ceremony and the invite-only Global Ecosystem Summit, organized by Cathay Group and Sinofaith IP Group, took place in the impressive venue of Meixi Lake Hotel, in the city of Changsha in China, and sponsored by The Science and Technology City of Yuelu Mountain National University.
Startups from Nordics, Central Eastern Europe, South Africa and Southeast Asia who have won in their respective regional circuits come together at the event to find out which of them will be winning at the global level. These startups were winners of their respective circuits in the year 2017 and 2018.
New Entrepreneurs Foundation, the organiser of ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards for Southeast Asia region, were present at the event as part of the delegates from the region. 15 other startups and ecosystem supporters from the region were also present and took part in the two days event.
A total of 8 categories were up for grabs and here are all the winners at the Global Startup Awards from the ASEAN Rice Bowl Startup Awards:

Celebrating the Best Startup in Southeast Asia.
The ASEAN Rice Bowl Awards will be celebrating the 2019 Regional winners at the ASEAN Rice Bowl Awards Summit & Award Ceremony that will be held on 15 and 16 of January 2020. The 2-days event will be held in Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Throughout the two days, attendees can expect keynote speeches from prominent players in the startup industry, insightful panel discussions as well as business and investor matching sessions. There will also be business clinics with industry leaders that attendees can benefit from.
The culmination of the event will be the Award Ceremony where the best startups in the Southeast Asia region will be crown champions.
