About DJ Kenshu

Born in Vienna, Austria to an Austrian father and Japanese mother, Kenshu made a name for himself playing jazz, soul and funk music at various clubs in Tokyo as a DJ after returning to Japan.

In 2008, Kenshu's work "Dulcet featuring Kenshu", an original interpretation of the perfect mesh between classical music and hip-hop beats, hit foreign record stores. Following the album "THE UNITED COLOUR" (2008), Kenshu found his musical style shifting to Electro, and his mix "B-BOY House" was played at famous clubs in Tokyo such as ageHa, AIR and MADO LOUNGE, as well as overseas clubs and on radio.

Kenshu's renowned disc-jockeying skills and rich music production, coupled with a musical style that has passed through various genres, have received a lot of attention from fields outside of music - one of the most prominent being a collaboration with the popular fashion brand "mastermind JAPAN".
