BEIJING, Dec. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- On December 11, 2020, 3rd Security and Privacy Summit organized by BSI, supported by China-Britain Business Council and IAPP as well as sponsored exclusively by Beijing Powertime Information Technology Co.,Ltd. was successfully concluded in Beijing. Nearly 30 experts from different industries (such as Internet, big data, artificial intelligence, 5G, real estate, smart healthcare, manufacturing) and representatives from the Chinese government, university and corporations were invited to participate in the summit and shared their views and insights on the topic of "how will organizations better achieve organizational resilience in a new era of digital transformation". The event attracted nearly 300 representatives from organizations in various industries to attend on-site. This was also the first time to have a live-stream widely targeting Chinese across APAC attracting viewers from India, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, the USA and the UK. The event attracted more than 188,000 online views during the whole-day event.
At the beginning of the event, Mr. Michael Lam (COO of APAC and Managing Director of GC, BSI), Mr. Mehdi Hussain (Prosperity Fund Counsellor China, British Embassy in China) and Mr. Paulo Lopes (Director of Strategic Cooperation, GC, BSI) delivered the opening speeches respectively. Meanwhile, Mr. Trevor (Chairman of IAPP) also brought greetings to the event in a remotely.
After that, Mr. Michael Lam delivered a wonderful speech on the global trend of standards. He pointed out in his speech that after SARS epidemic in 2002, China's e-commerce industry followed the trend and began to prosper. So crises sometimes also mean new opportunities. COVID -19 may also be the turning point of new changes, organizations should be prepared for this. Every aspects of our lives are closely linked to standards; this shows the importance of standards for organizations and personal life. Zhang Chao, from the legal center of Beike Group, analyzed the digital transformation process of enterprise service market from the perspective of industry, agriculture, Internet, construction and service industry. The industry insight, resource integration and standardization ability mentioned in her speech are very important.

Highlights of the Main Forum
Mr. Song Wenkuan, Secretary General of Information Security and Privacy Committee of Xiaomi, shared the application scenarios of intelligent Internet of Things (iIoT) and the security protection practices.
Mr. Wang Guangbin, President of Construction Industry Innovation and Development Research Institute of Tongji University and Head of Department of Construction Management and Real Estate, delivered an enlightening speech on such topics as development trend of housing construction industry, intelligent manufacturing and industry as well as digital transformation of construction industry, etc.

Ms. Fan Xiaoyan, Registration Manager of Beijing Infervision Technology Co. Ltd., shared the experience in registering their AI products in four countries. Ms. Wang Lin from Sensetime introduced the registration experience of their AI products under MDR. Facing the change of global medical device regulations, for all medical device manufacturers, meeting compliance requirements is essential. In ICT sub-forum, Trevor Hughes, Chairman of IAPP, introduced the latest developments and trends of international regulations in the terms of data protection and privacy in the form of remote video sharing. He also gave examples of how to better guide organizations to comply with existing regulations and introduced the measures for dealing with risks and enhancing customer confidence. Dr. Luc Poulin, CEO, Application Security Institute, introduced the concept and function of ISO/IEC 27034 Application Security Standard in the form of remote video sharing, and also described how organizations can build organizational capability by applying the standard and finally implement and validate a project.
Mr. Yu Zhiming, Secretary of University of BOE Technology Group, shared the experience of BOE's Lean Innovation in intelligent manufacturing. Ms. Pengjing, Compliance Management Expert from Hangzhou Youzan Science & Technology Co.,Ltd., shared the experiences related to SaaS industry data and privacy risks, Youzan privacy architecture and implementation.
