BEIJING, May 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Shiji announced its online distribution division, CHINAonline, will be re-branded to Shiji Distribution Solutions.

Founded in 2007 as CHINAonline, Shiji was the first connectivity provider in China and built the first ever International Hotel Chain - Chinese OTA connection. Today, the business connects 30,000+ hotels to 90 channels in more than 13 countries. Its partners include independent hotels, hotel chains, casinos and theme parks.

In the past 2 years, Shiji has rapidly expanded its business internationally, making strategic acquisitions and opening offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific. The rebranding of CHINAonline to Shiji Distribution Solutions is a key part of the company transformation into a global, integrated platform service provider.

"As we continue establishing our platforms and solutions globally, the rebranding of CHINAonline to Shiji Distribution Solutions fits more with our global messaging," said Shiji's COO, Kevin King.

"Shiji, with our 60+ channels connected in China and our growing connections internationally, is in a unique position to provide our hotel partners access to a greater number of channels as global travel demand continues to grow," said King.

By leveraging the company's unique expertise across the whole spectrum of hospitality solutions, Shiji's vision is to provide a total distribution management platform to its partners. This includes facilitating the exchange of hotel information, visual content, room reservations, as well as non-room product transactions such as theme park tickets and F&B products.

"Initially focused on helping our Chinese partner process hotel transactions online, we have now become a truly global distribution platform with top international partners and scalable technology. Our new brand reflects our commitment to continue to innovate and provide broader, deeper connectivity to all our partners around the world," said Anson Lau, Managing Director of Shiji Distribution Solutions.
