During the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, China's national rail network, which includes high-speed rail, saw over 379 million passengers use their services daily. According to a China Tourism Research Institute survey, tourists averaged a travel distance of 213 kilometers during Golden Week -- a 56% increase over this year's Labor Day and Dragon Boat Festival holidays. "At CRRC, we offer safe and comfortable transportation, a spectacular and pleasant journey, the opportunity to enjoy a change in scenery and, ultimately, a rich and fulfilling life filled with extraordinary experiences. CRRC's brand influence and achievements have assisted greatly in establishing a high-end, high-quality image for Chinese manufacturing worldwide, and genuinely contributed to the development of our nation's economy," said Hualong Liu, Chairman and Executive Director of CRRC.

In the past four years, 68 cities at the prefecture-level or above have opened new high-speed railways. At the end of July 2020, the country's railway operating mileage reached 141,400 kilometers, of which high-speed rail mileage accounted for 36,000 kilometers. Regional development strategies, such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration Plan, Yangtze River Integration Plan, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay area, will continue to promote the construction of rail transit across the country.

In addition to the research, development, design and production of EMU trains, CRRC provides China's cities and provinces with a full suite of customized products and services including locomotives, passenger cars, freight cars, urban metro and subway rail transit.

Beyond production, CRRC has actively cultivated an entire industrial chain related to the production and distribution of rail equipment. CRRC's high-speed unit supports the development of 10 industries including steel, aluminum, machinery, electronics, electrical engineering, precision instruments, chemicals and decorative materials. The effects of this have radiated to 20 provinces and cities, directly supporting over 600 core supplier companies and 1,500 secondary supplier companies. With an economic effect ratio of 1:5, CRRC has become an engine for the development of regional economies and championed growth for related industries.

Further afield, CRRC's combination of product, innovation and service has seen the company expand its overseas business from a single product export to a combined export of product, capital, technology, management and service, which can be found in 107 countries worldwide. In Indonesia, for example, CRRC actively sought out strategic partnerships and formed synergies with like-minded brands to jointly promote the design, manufacture and after-sales maintenance of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail.
