At the upcoming EdtechX event in London, June 2020, Eddemy will have the opportunity to pitch in front of over 4,000 attendees and 40+ event hosts at the summit, and potentially a lot of investors or Venture Capital from around the world that take interest in education technology sector.

Eddemy was chosen as the winner for its unique approach on solving school problem, especially as Eddemy pioneered the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) topics introduction into schools across Indonesia using research-based survey technology. This is the focus of schools throughout the world right now, and with the strong team backgrounds and the amazing pitch presentation, Eddemy was able to win the competition.

SEL is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. "Nowadays, Indonesians tend to focus too much on the cognitive side, such as academic grades. With the SEL methods, we aim to initiate changes and promote a holistic approach of education that is highly important for the students' future. By focusing on SEL, our research said that it will change how school system works from the inside and bring a positive ecosystem for all students from any background," said Kingsen Yan, CEO of Eddemy.

Kingsen added, "We are hoping to have the chance to collaborate with other education technology startups in to create stronger impact that will eventually solves Indonesia's education issue, gain International recognition for and hopefully attract more investors globally to take a look into the opportunity to invest in company like us in Indonesia."

Today, Eddemy has helped more than 4,000 students and 10+ schools in Indonesia in just one quarter and will gain more than 15,000 students by the end of this year as part of its partnership plan with West Sumatra Government. In line with Indonesia's President Joko Widodo's vision of the 2019-2024 governing period to focus on improving human capital, especially in the education sector, Eddemy targets to reach more than a million students and thousands of schools in their platform before 2022 to help realize that very same vision.
