HONG KONG, June 24, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Asia, the leading non-governmental organisation for entrepreneurship has named Richard Tsang as President, succeeding William Ng.
Tsang is a respected entrepreneur and holds over 80 board, committee and advisory positions in more than 40 government, business, religious, education, and non-governmental organisations.
As founder of Strategic Public Relations Group, Tsang has led the communications outfit into becoming one of Asia's largest independent public relations firm. He was also global chairman of PROI Worldwide - the world's largest partnership of independent integrated communications agencies in 2016.
Speaking about his new appointment, Tsang said, "Enterprise Asia has been at the forefront in pursuing responsible entrepreneurship in Asia and I am excited to be given this opportunity to take this organisation to new heights, building on its strong foundations. There is an urgent need to improve the state of the world by managing the direct consequences due to this pandemic. It will take years in order to return to the pre-crisis normality and this serves as a wake-up call to everyone, to build a world of economic equality by encouraging entrepreneurship, embracing diversity, promoting excellence and practising integrity".
Under Ng's leadership, Enterprise Asia has firmly established itself as the region's leading NGO for responsible entrepreneurship. Apart from the International CSR & Sustainability Summit and International Innovation Summit which provides a global sharing and networking platform for CSR practitioners and innovators, he also initiated a few reputable awards recognition program such as the Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards, the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards and the International Innovation Awards - all of which are now the most coveted awards in their respective markets.
Ng has been appointed into the board of advisors of Enterprise Asia and will serve as vice chairman for the 2020 - 2023 term.
"Richard is the right person to bring Enterprise Asia forward; and I am confident that under his leadership, Enterprise Asia will continue to push for a supportive business ecosystem and encourage collaboration with governments and other associations, to drive new collaborations to address rising challenges, harness creativity and innovation, and to strive towards a common goal which is to uplift the economic status of people across Asia", Ng said of Tsang's appointment.
