The online classes which were held by ESMOD Jakarta Course Center since last month received positive feedback as indicated by the number of enrolled participants based on the data received from the registration office. This shows that public interest in fashion during the pandemic situation has not diminished. Online classes will not be limited to adults only, ESMOD Jakarta Course Center is planning to open online course classes for kids by the end of May 2020. The classes will provide an opportunity for children to learn about fashion.

Kiki Damayanti, Business & Operational GM of ESMOD Jakarta Course Center says, "In line with instructions from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Indonesia, which issued the policy of learning from home during this pandemic, we are therefore keen to open online classes for public who want to stay productive and to enrich their fashion knowledge by joining ESMOD Jakarta Course Center online courses while they are at home. During normal circumstances, we also have Lifestyle & Foundation classes beside Fashion Design and Fashion Business classes. We are considering running other classes during this period."

What makes the online classes special compared to other classes is that all participants can actively participate in donating and helping people who are affected by this COVID-19 pandemic while attending the online classes at home – which carries the theme #DonatingWhileGainingKnowledge. ESMOD Jakarta, a well-known fashion design school that has been established since 1996, together with the students and senate participated in an event named "Activation to Stay Safe from Pandemic" by producing personal masks and distributing them to ojek online drivers.

According to Chike Herningtias, Event Manager of ESMOD Jakarta, "We understand and realize the important role of ojek online in distributing packages during this pandemic situation and we are impressed by their tenacity in making a living during this hard time. Not only masks that we distributed to these drivers, we are also currently developing special caps with shield masks to cover the head and protect the face. Protective jacket, especially designed by our Headmaster, Patrice Desilles, will soon be distributed to all parties in need."
