Logistics expert implements group-wide online learning platform / investment in service quality

SHANGHAI, Dec. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Excellent logistics services are provided by excellently trained employees. Based on this principle, the international transport and logistics company Gebruder Weiss has recently implemented a major expansion and update of its internal employee training program. What has already been tried and tested at the European locations will now also be introduced in Greater China, Japan, and Singapore: the online learning platform "myOrangeCollege" (briefly: "myOC").

In the future, this platform will ensure that all employees have digital access to the training courses offered by the logistics expert, supplemented by multi-media learning content such as videos and webinars ("blended learning" being the keyword). "'myOC' enables us to make employee training more attractive and more flexible. Our employees will be able to manage their learning activities independent of time and place, to review their learning progress online and to exchange knowledge and contents with colleagues also across national borders," the new employee training concept is explained by Helmut Schopf, Head of Human Resources Development at Gebruder Weiss.

Investment in Service Excellence

The focus of the new eLearning platform is not just on flexibility and knowledge transfer, but above all on the service quality provided by the logistics expert. "A central learning platform allows us to present contents reliably and ensure a uniform knowledge base. Well-trained employees are a basic requirement to satisfy our customers. Service Excellence is a top priority for us," said Schopf.

Implementation of "myOC" at Gebruder Weiss in Greater China is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018.
