WEIFANG, China, Aug. 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Six enterprises from east China's Shandong province made it into the 2022 Fortune Global 500 list, including Weichai Power, a combustion engine company headquartered in Weifang.
The rest five are Shandong Energy Group, Weiqiao Pioneering, Shandong Iron and Steel Group, Haier and Shandong High-Speed Company Limited.
It was the first time for Shandong High-Speed Company Limited to be listed.
Shandong High-Speed Company Limited is a state-owned investment company in infrastructure. Boasting a registered capital of 45.9 billion yuan ($6.77 billion), it has total assets of over a trillion yuan.
It is reported that 44 companies were newly- or re-listed this time.
With revenue of $120 billion, Shandong Energy Group ranked 69th on the list, the highest among all six Shandong enterprises. Last year, the enterprise's income, profit and tax ranked first among all entities registered in Shandong province.
Weichai Power from Weifang ranked 452nd, reporting revenue of nearly $31.6 billion.
The 2022 Fortune Global 500 list was published on Aug. 3. A total of 145 Chinese companies were on the list, the highest among all countries, including nine from China's Taiwan region.
