HONG KONG, Sept. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to the recent natural disasters in Japan, many Hong Kong travellers have been stranded. This has triggered the need for extra global mobile data as well as prevented many from returning their Pocket Wi-Fi devices as scheduled. HKBN Group ("HKBN" or "the Group") announced today that as a measure of relief, it will waive any additional global data that has been used on top of the Global Phone monthly plan, as well as waive the late return fees associated with Global Pocket Wi-Fi for service users from 1 to 20 September 2018.
Global Phone monthly plan users (personal customers) can dial 128-100 to contact HKBN customer service and receive a waiver for the extra global data usage charges incurred*. To process the waiver, customers can simply show an airline boarding pass from any destination in Japan or related supporting document. For Global Pocket Wi-Fi users, the late return fee will be waived when they return the Global Pocket Wi-Fi device to any designated HKBN shop#, and present a boarding pass from any destination in Japan or related supporting document. Enterprise Solutions customers can call the customer service hotline 128-180 for waiver processing.
HKBN will send an SMS to inform users who have rented the Global Pocket Wi-Fi about the late return fee waiver arrangements.
* Charges for additional global data used throughout Japan incurred during the period between 1-20 September will be waived by HKBN. |
