Ho Chi Minh City signed MoU with Hanoi and the Central Vietnam Key Economic Region to develop tourism linkages for reviving tourism in Vietnam

HOI AN, Vietnam, Nov. 30, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- In the context of reviving tourism in Vietnam, the "Forum on Development of Tourism Linkages among Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and The Central Vietnam Key Economic Region" under the theme "Heritage Now, Fly Now" concluded with great success, taking place at Hoiana Integrated Resort in Quang Nam Province from 27 - 28 November 2020.

This is the 5th edition of Tourism Linkages Conferences and Forums to link tourism development with prominent tourism areas in Vietnam from which to learn experience and enhancement in 4 main areas: Tourism state management, Tourism product development, Tourism promotion, Tourism human resource development.

Besides the Central Key Economic Region, Ho Chi Minh City deployed activities to link tourism development with 08 expanded Northwestern Provinces (Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Hoa Binh, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Phu Tho Son La, Yen Bai) on 14 November 2020 in Phu Tho Province; and Northeastern Provinces (Bac Kan, Bac Giang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc) on 20 November 2020 in Quang Ninh Province.

The forum for linking tourism development between Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City and the Central Key Economic Region also has special participation from Vietnam Airlines Group (Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO), Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways with incentive programs and policies to create a close and effective connection from both ends of the country to the Central region in tourism development. The strong participation and companionship of airlines is one of the most important factors for tourism businesses and localities to develop policies, stimulus programs and tour products, travel routes, contribute to the success of the link.

At the event, Tuoi Tre Newspaper reported on the results of the Online Initiative Forum on "Solutions, the constitution of Vietnam's tourism industry" for the local tourism industry. This is an online forum hosted by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Department of Culture - Sports - Tourism / Department of Tourism of provinces and Tuoi Tre Newspaper from October to November 2020. The Online Initiative Forum has more than 100 posts from readers, experts, businesses with many practical suggestions and innovative solutions.

In the framework of the forum, the Business Matching Session happened in the morning of 27 November 2020. This is an ideal platform to connect and share businesses for 26 key tourism businesses in Quang Nam province and more than 200 businesses of the participating provinces and cities.

During the forum, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City donated funding to the people, officials and soldiers of Ho Chi Minh City to people damaged by storms and floods in Quang Nam Province (10,605,650,000 VND), Quang Ngai Province (8,775,000,000 VND) Thua Thien Hue Province (7 billion VND), Binh Dinh Province (3 billion VND) and Da Nang City (200 million VND).

The Tourism Development Link Forum between Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi City and the Central Key Economic Region is Ho Chi Minh City's fifth consecutive affiliate program in 2019 and 2020 to link connecting provinces and regions along the length of the country from North to South.
