Business communicators in China offer new perspectives on leadership 

IABC Hong Kong 2018 Symposium on China: New Perspectives on Leadership

HONG KONG, April 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the chapter's successful Conference on China in 2017, the International Association of Business Communicators (Hong Kong chapter) will hold a half-day symposium on May 7, 2018 in Hong Kong. This focused session will examine how China's communications industry can be expected to evolve in leadership roles over the short term and long term.

This event, held in an interactive format, will take a thematic approach to exploring opportunities, challenges and practical solutions as China's communications industry continues to develop. The Symposium will cover the topics of "Leadership in media and public relations in China", "Excellence in internal communications as a leadership indicator" and "Profiling leadership through stakeholder relations in China".

IABC Hong Kong President, Virginia Chi, said, "With the changes and development of China's economy and its increasingly international role come new requirements for leadership communications. The rapidly expanding remit of business communicators now includes leadership profiling in China and abroad, for both companies and executives."

Senior communicators from companies including APCO, Bupa, Fidelity International, Huawei, HKUST, KPMG, Taylor Bennett Heyman, Telum, and others will share their outlook on leadership and China in the communications profession.

With representatives from in-house, agency, and academia, this IABC event will bring together different angles from the communications profession, to help give a balanced understanding of the opportunities for leadership in the communications industry in China.
