Close to €600,000 donated to Italian sanctuaries as part of abillion's giving program

MILAN, June 7, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- abillion, the digital platform promoting sustainability, has released an Italian version to better cater to one of their fastest-growing communities. Current members are now able to fully experience the different functionalities of the app in their native tongue with a simple switch in language settings while new downloads will be directed automatically to Italian.

No stranger to the fast-growing vegan market, abillion's Italian community account for just over 600,000 reviews of vegan foods and products since their launch in 2018. Tied to abillion's flagship program, the "Giving Program", US$1 or €0.93 is given for each verified review; members are able to dedicate this amount to a non-profit organization of their choice within abillion's global network. Over 60 nonprofit organizations within the abillion network are focused on the rehabilitation and rescue of animals, protection of the environment and food security.

As a result of the "Giving Program", Italian members have managed to amass over €600,000 worth of donations that have gone on to benefit sanctuaries like Rifugio Miletta and Santuario Capra Libera Tutti, two of the largest beneficiaries in Italy.

The launch of abillion's Italian version is a small step towards building a global community. In the near future, abillion aims to further localize its content for other markets, and extend its reach by implementing diversified features like marketplace.
