Amber Sun Brings Automotive Industry and Chinese Intellectual Property Expertise
PORTLAND, Oregon, March 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Kolitch Romano, an intellectual property law firm based in Portland, Oregon, has added Amber Sun as a partner. Amber joins partners Dave Bourgeau, Shawn Kolitch and Thomas (T.J.) Romano to expand the Kolitch Romano firm only five months after its formation in October 2018.
A member of the Oregon State Bar and a registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Amber has 15 years of experience securing, protecting, and defending patents and trademarks across several industries, including automotive, semiconductor, mechanical, and software. In addition, Amber is a native Chinese speaker, and previously worked in Shanghai for four years as Head IP counsel at a joint-venture automotive company. Amber also is the President-elect of the Oregon Patent Law Association for 2019.

While in law school, Amber received the Diversity Excellence Scholarship from University of Oregon and the prestigious Sidney B. Williams, Jr. Scholarship from the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).
