SEOUL, South Korea, July 15, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- KT SAT(www.ktsat.com) announced in 14th July that it is participating in Satellite Asia 2021, one of the largest Satellite communication events in Asia-Pacific region.
KT SAT is planning to unveil its hybrid router transmission technology at this event as a global satellite operator.
Taking place from 14th to 16th July 2021, Satellite Asia 2021 included in 'Asia Tech x Singapore(AT x SG)' will continue to run virtually this time. 'Asia Tech x Singapore(AT x SG)' is a Asia's flagship tech event where technology intersects with society and the digital economy. KT SAT will present with a topic of "The future of Satellite communication seeing through hybrid router solution" in 15th.
In the session, KT SAT will introduce various use cases and technical features of Hybrid router transmission technology. KT SAT's hybrid router is a technology which allows reliable data communication than original 5G service with protocol by connecting different networks. It could offers seamless network through satellite despite in case of disconnection of 5G network. It could be applicable to diverse fields like as mobility, Government and military where consistent network is prior to anything else.
Last year, KT SAT has introduced Satellite-5G transmission technology in this exhibition. KT SAT was spotlighted with hybrid router which was developed with KT. This year, KT SAT prepared for the upgraded contents with oversea demonstration of Hybrid router to prove that the solution is a global service with outstanding quality.
In order for this presentation session, KT SAT did an satellite-5G transmission technology demonstration in Greece using hybrid router and HellasSat-3 with HellasSat. This is the first time demonstration of Hybrid router in oversea, and the testing result will open to public at Satellite Asia 2021.
In this demonstration, KT's Software technology has been applied to hybrid router. Hybrid transmission technology is able to be used as global service through being offered as NaaS(Network-as-a-Service). This technology could be applicable to various cloud circumstances like Public cloud, MEC(Mobile Edge Computing). Many participants from government express thier great interest in the demonstration, sharing opinions on roles of satellite communication in 5G network era.
