ISO 26262 is a globally recognized automotive functional safety standard that applies to the entire product life cycle of electrical and electronic components in the automotive industry, from initial safety concept, system development, software and hardware development to production, operation, maintenance, and scrapping. Its main purpose is to ensure driving safety in case of failures in electronic parts and components and systems, so it is regarded as one of the basic requirements for suppliers to enter the automotive supply chain. ASIL (Automotive Safety Integration Level) is a risk classification system defined by the ISO 26262 standard. There are four levels - A, B, C, and D - with ASIL D being the strictest level of development process.
Lextar has established a strong foothold in the automotive market over the long term. With the flourishing development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), autonomous driving, and smart vehicles, the utilization of LEDs has experienced a significant upsurge. Leveraging their extensive research and development technologies to elevate product performance and quality, Lextar is actively expanding its presence in the automotive sector.
