HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam, May 18, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Three thousand "Vietnam's Pride" healthy porcelain tumblers, developed with a symbol of strong integrity and humane values of Vietnamese culture in the context of COVID-19 pandemic, have been given to medical staff and doctors who work in nine major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi by Minh Long. The total value of this giveaway is up to VND420 million.
The meaningful activity was hosted by Minh Long in conjunction with the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front to show appreciation for their noble work, which is to take care of and cure COVID-19 patients under difficult situations.
On May 9, 2020, Mr Ly Huy Sang, deputy general director of Minh Long I Company, has presented 1,000 tumblers to representatives of three public hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, which are Hospital of Tropical Diseases (300 tumblers), Cho Ray Hospital (350) and Thong Nhat Hospital (350).
During the ceremonies, Mr Sang also expressed gratefulness to the "white-caped warriors" who fight every day for the community's safety during the pandemic. At the same time, he hoped to contribute a small part in the campaigns that raise awareness in healthcare activities and encourage medical workers and doctors everywhere in Vietnam to stay strong and healthy during this hard time.
The gifts are special porcelain products made for "Vietnam's Pride" campaign and designed exclusively for medical staff, nurses and doctors. Decorations of these tumblers are inspired from heart-warming stories and photos taken throughout the times that Vietnam is under the pressure of controlling the spread of Coronavirus and recreated with colorful and modern graphics of three main themes: Quarantine, Stay Home and Pride. The visuals deliver a supportive message for social distancing and a shout out to rescue Vietnamese crops and agricultural products, as well as highlighting self-isolation activities through art.
Co-participating in the giving ceremonies, Mr Vo Van Thien - member of the Central Committee and head of the Committee in the South, has expressed his compliments on the contribution of companies like Minh Long for the community, especially during COVID-19 pandemic. He hoped that Minh Long can continue to accompany with the Committee in future campaigns and programs for the people to support humanity and commit to CSR activities by one of the top companies in Vietnam.
Previously, through the Central Committee, Minh Long also sent 2,000 tumblers to six other major hospitals including K Central Hospital (500 tumblers), 108 Military Central Hospital (400), Ha Noi Medical University Hospital (300), Bach Mai Hospital (300), National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (300) and 19/8 Hospital of Police Ministry (200).
The representatives of the hospitals expressed their deep gratitude for the care and encouragement, especially the meaningful gifts from Minh Long. Healthy porcelain tumbler is a very practical gift to meet the actual needs of the hospital. The products will help the medical staff and doctors have more durable, firm and environment-friendly drink holders to enjoy healthy drinks. This is a great source of motivation for the medical team to try to fight their battles of preventing diseases and protecting the health of the community.
Upon receiving the gift, Ms. Do Thi Thu Trang from Department of Resuscitation (Adults) of Hospital of Tropical Diseases (left) was moved. "The treatment of disease or its prevention and control is our responsibility. I think I have received more than just a meaningful gift. Above all I felt warm, like being loved by people who made and gifted this cup to me. We promise to do our best to stand strong against this pandemic," said Trang.
