Dear Prime Minister Khurelsukh,

I am delighted that we are marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Mongolia this year.

Our countries enjoy close cooperation across different fields and a shared commitment to maintain an open, rules-based multilateral trading system. Over the years, our people-to-people ties and exchanges between our Governments have grown. I have fond memories of my visit to Ulaanbaatar in 2016, and warmly recall the generosity and friendship of the Mongolian people. I am confident that our ties will strengthen in the coming years, as we find new areas to collaborate in the post-COVID-19 world.

I wish you good health and success.

Yours sincerely,
Lee Hsien Loong

Your Excellency

Please accept my warmest congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Mongolia. This is a significant milestone which bears testament to the longstanding friendship between Singapore and Mongolia.

Singapore and Mongolia enjoy warm and multifaceted relations, which have broadened and deepened over the past 50 years. The complementary strengths of our economies have facilitated bilateral trade, while a similar global outlook has led to our close cooperation in regional and international fora. Our people-to-people exchanges have also grown over the years.

It was an honour to welcome you on your introductory visit to Singapore in June 2019. I look forward to working closely with you to explore new ways to take our bilateral partnership to even greater heights in the coming years.

Amidst these trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I wish you good health and success, and look forward to seeing you again.

Yours sincerely,
Dr Vivian Balakrishnan
