TOKYO, July 5, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Nippon Express (China) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "NX China"), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., held a ceremony on Friday, June 2, to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its industry-academy collaboration with Beijing Wuzi University (BWU).

Founded in 1980, BWU is particularly well-known for its focus on logistics and distribution, and approximately 8,000 students are currently studying at its nine faculties and 28 departments. BWU's school of logistics, established in 2006, offers robust educational facilities and an exceptional research environment, and is one of China's best faculties specializing in logistics.
NX China signed a letter of intent on strategic collaboration with the BWU in 2012 and has since been regularly engaged in industrial-academic collaboration with BWU, creating a Nippon Express Scholarship program in 2014 and presenting a running total of 12 endowed lectures.
During the recent ceremony held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of industry-academia collaboration with BWU, Nippon Express Scholarships for 2023 were awarded and BWU graduates interacted with Nippon Express Group personnel. In attendance at the event, Chairman Sumitoshi Matsuo declared: "The Nippon Express Group will continue pursuing CSR activities, fostering talented logistics professionals and contributing to society, and we look forward to working more closely with Beijing Wuzi University in our industry-academia collaboration."
