MANILA, Philippines, April 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The world's technological advances are bringing new business opportunities for financial institutions that are working in remote, hard-to-reach communities in the Philippines.

Oradian's recent strategic workshop for rural banks titled "The Cloud: Benefits and Challenges in the Banking System" showcased expertise and insights from leaders in the financial inclusion industry. The workshop featured Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas' Melchor Plabasan, Asian Development Bank's Jovilyn Cotio, Financial and Economic Consultant Sandy Gilles, Economic Consultant Rafael Rivera and Turfsite Web Services' Chief Technology Officer Robert Reyes. It also featured Antonio Separovic, the CEO and Co-founder of Oradian, a global financial inclusion company that provides a cloud-based toolset, including its cloud banking platform Instafin for visionary financial institutions.

Separovic stated that Oradian's cloud technology is built to allow financial institutions to grow and reach more clients -- without incremental costs per branch. With the cloud, financial institutions can access tools including cloud-based Instafin with just an Internet connection -- from any device, at any time. This eliminates the need for financial entities to invest in expensive on-premise IT systems and software licenses for each of their branches to have appropriate technology for managing operations.

With Oradian's cloud technology, financial institutions have access to real-time data and automatic reporting about their portfolios and operations. Digitized reporting processes reduce the time spent on administration and cuts operating costs, resulting in lower costs and fees for their clients.

The workshop also supported moves of regulatory bodies to move core operations of rural banks to the cloud as it allows financial institutions to securely store their data in world-class security data centres, mitigating the risks of geohazards common to the Philippines.

Oradian Philippines' General Manager Jonathan Engalla says that with specialized cloud technology, rural banks have the opportunity to follow the lead of big banks and become more efficient, grow and reach more clients using digital financial services.
