Prambanan Jazz Festival 2018 Records Positive Reviews

A beautiful collaboration between cultural heritage of Prambanan temple and music masterpieces.

YOGYAKARTA, Indonesia, Oct. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Prambanan Jazz Festival is an annual international music festival held by Rajawali Indonesia Communication every mid-August since the year 2015. The overall goal is to combine the masterpiece of cultural heritage Prambanan temple with music masterpieces. Over the years, the music promoter Anas Syahrul Alimi has brought a number of local and international recording artists including Kenny G, Boys II Men and Sarah Brightman to entertain people through thrilling performances.

The fourth edition of Prambanan Jazz Festival took place at the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia on 17,18,19 August 2018. Thousands of people attending the concert were ecstatic as the musicians performed on the stage against the backdrop of the majestic temples. The three-day show was mesmerizing that the organiser received positive reviews from the audience and the performers. Among the performers at the show were the Irish boy band Boyzone and the legendary jazz musician Diana Krall.

The Canadian jazz singer who has won three Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards played numerous songs with her contralto vocals. Her fans were in complete awe as she played piano and sang "Deed I Do", "L-O-V-E", "S Wonderful", "Blue Skies", "When I Look In Your Eyes", "Simple Twist of Fate", "I Was Doing Alright", "Cheek to Cheek", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "How Deep is The Ocean" and "Fly Me To The Moon".

The Jazz pianist managed to build strong emotional connections with the audience during her performance. Especially when Krall was playing "L-O-V-E", the audience sung pretty much the entire song and she happily let them sing along to it. Krall expressed her feelings, "It feels like home, the crowds really love singing and I enjoyed playing the piano for them". The enthusiasm was beyond what she could envision which made her long trip from Canada to Indonesia really paid off. Prambanan Jazz Festival 2018 was a truly memorable concert for many attendees.
