BEIJING, Sept. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Another Me in the World (European Season), the first-of-its-kind motorcycle travel show in China, premiered on iQIYI, the nation's largest video streaming platform, on Aug. 17 and has gained high popularity among Chinese audience.
The program tells the story about Yang Fan, a 26-year-old Chinese motorcyclist, who travels across Europe to look for someone born exactly on the same day as him.
In the show, he started from Lithuania and visited 12 countries in Europe to find "another me in the world". Among the 16 youngsters he met are entrepreneurs, artists, athletes, new immigrants, exchange students as well as peers born in super-rich families. Together with Yang, they achieved one goal and did something meaningful together.
This show has drawn high attention from iQIYI's audience, with the total clicks reaching 30 million so far.
Yang's experience is unique and different from most Chinese young people of his age. When he was 13 years old, Yang quit from middle school as agreed by his father and thus started his extraordinary journey to explore the world. His first trip was to Lhasa of Tibet, which was 2,000 kilometers away from his home. During that period of time, he came up with the idea of "looking for another me in the world."
In the new season, Yang had bad luck at the very beginning as he ran into a serious traffic accident. His motorcycle was ruined and his right arm was fractured. This was really a catastrophe to him, but the physical injury did not make Yang give up his motor ride.
"The whole course of recovery was like a war inside my body," Yang said. Despite the injury in his arm, Yang and his friends get prepared for the journey and started his "European travel" on time.
In the first episode, Yang met Tadas, who was also born on October 5th, 1990. Tadas presented his extraordinary youth in the first episode. As a practical guy, Tadas began to earn money when he was 12 years old. Currently, Tadas has already owned a program called "birthday surprise", selling creative birthday experiences. Among the team of the reality show, there're also photographers from Germany and France and music producers from Belgium. With the support of iQIYI, it is now regarded as a "film-like variety show".
