SEOUL, South Korea, Jan. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SYSTRAN International (Chairman Lucas Ji, www.systrangroup.com), the world's no.1 provider of Intelligent Language Processing Services supporting multilingual translation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with HelloTalk, China's leading service provider of foreign language learning and social networking services with more than 8 million users, as a part of GCS(Global Creative Software) co-funded government project, called "Development of SaaS-based Translation Platform with integration of Neural Machine Translation and Crowdsourcing Human Translation".
HelloTalk, the first social network-based language learning and exchange application in the world, has a distinct feature that allows users to get editing guidance from other users who are native speakers in the language that user wants to learn. HelloTalk users can choose one language that they want to learn as a default after the service registration and also choose more than two additional languages after making a payment.
SYSTRAN plans to provide higher quality translation services with better fluency by continuously improving and developing conversation translation engines with corpus from HelloTalk that is expected to have over 30 million users until next year. A high quality of Korean PNMT development and services are expected based on the high demand of Korean from HelloTalk users.
SYSTRAN expects to gain high quality corpora from HelloTalk which will have more than 30 million users next year. SYSTRAN also plans to continuously improve its neural machine translation engines and provide the engines to HelloTalk for its competitive translation service.
In this MOU, SYSTRAN, and HelloTalk are expecting to produce synergy effects such as developing translation engine with high quality corpus and providing an improved translation service.
SYSTRAN will not only enhance the competitiveness in social networking application translation services, but also expand its business in the Chinese market. SYSTRAN will also provide technical support on developments for real time translation, OCR, and grammar correction for three language pairs: Chinese -> Korean, Korean -> Chinese and Chinese -> English.
