TCL Wins Multiple Awards at CES 2018

TCL, one of the world's leading consumer electronics brands, has been awarded multiple honors at the 2018 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Most notably, TCL won 2017-2018 Global Top 50 CE Brands by International Data Group (IDG) and Top Increase in Market Share in North America in the LCD TV Category by The NPD Group.

TCL's TV products also won several awards at the show, including TCL's C6, which was awarded Global Smart TV Audio-Visual Experience Award of the Year by IDG. In addition, TCL's 6-Series (available in the US market) was named CES Editors' Choice by Reviewed.com and Best of CES 2018 by AVS Forum, while TCL's flagship QLED TV X6 was also named a CES 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree.

The TCL C6 is a UHD smart TV featuring WCG, HDR Pro and Micro Dimming. It features a Harman Kardon Soundbar and DTS Premium Sound. Powered by Android TV (launching with 7.0 Nougat, with an upgrade to 8.0 Oreo to follow in the coming months), the C6 offers a range of entertainment options.

The TCL 6-Series, which is expected to be available this spring in the US, combines 4K HDR picture performance and a powerful stealth metal design for a superior TV experience. The set supports Dolby Vision and comes with a new Roku TV Voice Remote with voice search.

As TCL's flagship QLED TV, the 85-inch X6 boasts stunning picture quality thanks to Quantum Dot display technology, HDR Premium, Local Dimming, Micro Dimming and MEMC technology. It features Dolby Atmos® immersive sound technology and comes with a Harman Kardon sound system.

During CES 2018, TCL Multimedia unveiled its 2018 product line-up, including the award-winning X6 and C6, and Popular Series P5. The company also announced its latest product offerings for the US market in 2018, including the 6-Series and 5-Series 4K HDR TVs and the TCL Roku Smart Soundbar - the first device to be launched under Roku's new Whole Home Entertainment Licensing Program.

TCL Multimedia announced five-year, record high global business growth in 2017. In overseas markets, TCL Multimedia's LCD TV sales volumes grew by 33.5% year-on-year in 2017, largely attributable to strong sales performance in North America and emerging markets such as Brazil. The North American market saw sales volumes grow significantly, up 131.5% year-on-year.

The company also outlined its 2018 business strategy, of which artificial intelligence (AI) is a key pillar. By continuing to collaborate with industry leaders such as Google and Baidu, the company's AI-focused technology strategy offers users direct access to personalized content.
