The contest aims to support regional expansion for Singapore based start-ups and entrepreneurs

SINGAPORE, Nov. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Techsumption, a ventures creation/execution company committed to helping start-ups rapidly commercialize their businesses and CHGG, a professional service organization committed to promoting International Technology Transfer and International Innovation Cooperation announced a strategic partnership to collaborate on the Singapore league of Nanjing Overseas Talents Start-up Contest (www.nanjingglobal.com), an initiative spearheaded by Nanjing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau to support foreign entrepreneurship and foster cross-cultural exchange in business. Selected participants will get access to millions of RMB in support and funding to achieve their start-up dreams in China.

Within days of execution of the agreement, an overwhelming reception was achieved in Singapore, and the parties received a total of 75 applications in just one week, more than 25% the original target with the initial timeline of execution set to a month.

"The impressive application figures reached in such a short time represents a significant milestone in the start-up community, as it shows the increasing hunger of start-ups and entrepreneurs based here and their desire to commercialize outside of Singapore," said Shane Low, Techsumption's Strategic Adviser. "Our team is honored and excited to be hosting this competition with CHGG, and believe that through the very successful first run of the contest, will demonstrate the incredible resilience and resourcefulness of Singapore based entrepreneurs and start-ups," added Low.

"We are happy to work together with Techsumption in organizing this contest to find high caliber entrepreneurs and start-ups based in Singapore. The reception we have seen so far has also exceeded our expectations and we are definitely looking forward to more collaboration in the future," said Conan Jie Shen, CHGG's General Manager.

For this event, Techsumption is also working with renowned ecosystem partners in the start-up scene. They are respectively venture capital firm, TRIVE and global blockchain incubation platform, LongHash.

"We see this event as an opportunity for more local startups to potentially gain access to the Chinese market. This comes at an exciting time as we see more Southeast Asian startups looking to venture abroad as they scale," said Yiming Ng, Partner at TRIVE.

"LongHash is happy to be a community partner for this pitching competition co-organised by Techsumption and CHGG. We believe that this partnership will help to further advance the blockchain ecosystem in Singapore," said John Lim, LongHash's Head of Business Development and Marketing.

Selections for this event is currently over and members interested in the start-up scene and would like to meet the finalists are encouraged to head to www.nanjingglobal.com to root for their favorite team happening 8th December 2018, at The Meeting Point in Launchpad.
