One of the healthy and delicious choice of rice from Thailand is clearly RD43 rice. It is a perfect alternative for the health-conscious people, not just in Thailand but for people around the world.

Ministry of Commerce discussed "RD43 rice is a cross-breed of Khao Hom Suphanburi rice and Suphanburi 1 rice. It is one of the finest quality white rice with soft texture that contains many nutrition benefits that everyone, especially health-conscious people, would like."

A wide variety of RD43 rice's benefits include: Low carb-to-sugar conversion ratio as RD43 rice yields less glucose, therefore, the body also absorbs less. Medium to low glycaemic index (GI) value, which means the effect of carbs on your blood glucose levels will be relatively constant. Complex Carbs in RD43 rice are digested at a slower rate than those in other strains of low-amylose rice. And taste of RD43 rice is a delicious strain of white rice that is soft, slightly chewy and subtly aromatic.

Consumers can buy RD43 rice which meets the Thai government's standard by looking for a certification mark (the green and white diamond suit). The mark indicates that the rice has been obtained from farms in the government's project with quality control throughout the chain of production. Rice seeds are first selected and certified, farmed and harvested using Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). Paddy is then milled in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)-certified rice mills, resulting in rice which receives the Quality Mark (Q-mark).
