Hong Kong people on the move: Top choices for emigrating citizens are overseas properties in Mainland China, Japan, and Thailand
Smart investors will learn about overseas property investment opportunities from experts and enjoy giveaways worth up to HK$150,000
HONG KONG, May 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Overseas property investment has become a hot topic for Hong Kong citizens in recent years. Due to Hong Kong's high property prices, people have gradually started investing in properties overseas. According to results of the "2018 H1 Hong Kong Property Market Perspective Survey" announced by REA Group in March, 14% of respondents have plans to purchase overseas properties in the next 12 months, with over half (58%) citing good investment value as the main reason for their decision, while 38% were influenced by Hong Kong's high property prices. These respondents selected Mainland China (42%), Japan (26%) and Thailand (19%) as the destinations for their next property purchase.
The 50th SMART Investment and International Property Expo organised by SMART Expo, part of REA Group, meets the needs of investors by providing guests with over 20 free seminars and professional overseas property investment analyses. Global and local real estate industry gurus will share their knowledge and experience with visitors. The 50th SMART Investment and International Property Expo will be held on 2 June 2018 (Saturday) and 3 June 2018 (Sunday) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The 50th SMART Investment and International Property Expo will feature over 50 booths providing participants with information from global markets, including Mainland China, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Australia, Vietnam and the United Kingdom. There will be a wide range of activities to participate in (please refer to tables below for details) including a discussion session with artiste and linguist Dr Benjamin Au Yeung Wai Hoo, also known as Ben Sir, on the topic of "Property Hard Talk with Ben Sir", as well as discussions with specific exhibitors on how to choose overseas properties, a seminar session with Mak Ling Ling, a well-known local Feng Shui master, on the topic of "How to Select Overseas Properties from a Feng Shui Perspective". There will also be giveaways valued up to $150,000 (please refer to tables below for details).
