RENNES, France, April 26, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Already present in nearly 100 countries, BRIDOR, a subsidiary of Le Duff Group, will have full access to the Chinese market with the launch, in Beijing, of a bakery product manufacturing activity  (bread, Viennese pastries and pastries, notably macarons).

BRIDOR has bought Amandine, a French bakery company installed in Beijing for eight years, which supplied, among others, five-star hotels, gastronomic restaurants and airlines.

A team of 50 people, of which 10 French people, is currently in charge of this ambitious project. It occupies a 2000-square-meter site and represents an investment of nearly 6 million euros. With this production unit, the group adds an industrial element to its commercial presence in China and continues its development strategy in Asia.

The unique expertise of BRIDOR should allow it to play a leading role in the bakery sector on this continent. To make an economic success of this strategy, there will be a marriage of French baking tradition and Chinese culinary tradition (notably concerning flavours and ingredients). BRIDOR also intends to make use of this tool to set up training and learning modules, and to pass on know-how.

The Le Duff Group is delighted with the support of the Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Yves Le Drian, who during his official visit to China on 25 April accepted to visit this production site.
