TUV Rheinland Issues First 5G Mobile Phone CE RED Certification to Huawei

SHENZHEN, China, March 27, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- TUV Rheinland, the leading international provider of testing, inspection, and certification services, has issued the first-ever CE RED certificate for a Huawei 5G mobile phone. Li Xiaolong,Huawei's Vice President of Mobile Phones, Stefan Kischka, Vice President of TUV Rheinland Wireless/IoT,attended the certification ceremony on behalf of their respective companies.

The CE mark is mandatory for entering the European market. The Huawei Mate X passed CE certification covering requirements in terms of radio frequency (RF), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), safety (Safety & SAR), RoHs, and environmental protection.
